Terms of Use

The rules to know before using REPS, whether you're a coach or a client.

1REPS in a nutshell

REPS is a tool for independent fitness coaches. It helps them receive bookings, manage their schedule, take payments from their clients and track their progress. REPS is not a coach, sells no sessions and gives no fitness, nutrition or medical advice.

When you book or buy something from a coach on REPS, the contract is between you and that coach. REPS provides the tool that connects you, nothing more. The publisher of the service is identified in the legal notice.

2What REPS lets you do

If you're a coach, REPS lets you:

  • publish a page in your name, with your link to share, and appear in the coach directory if you choose to;
  • open your slots in person, by video call, by phone call or as a group class;
  • take payments from your clients online with your own Stripe account (Pro and Pro+ plans);
  • sell session packs and coaching packages, with training plans, nutrition, check-ins and messages (Pro+ plan);
  • issue your invoices and connect your personal calendar.

If you're a client, REPS lets you:

  • book and pay for a session without creating an account;
  • find your sessions, cancel them and follow your coaching in your client area;
  • talk with your coach and log your workouts, meals and measurements if you have coaching.

Video calls use the link your coach chooses (Zoom, Google Meet, WhatsApp…). REPS does not host any video call. Everything to do with money is detailed in the Terms of Sale.

3Your account

A coach creates an account with an email address, or with Google or Apple. A client can book without an account, by giving their name, email and phone number. They can also open a client area from a booking, from a coach's page or when invited by their coach. One email address matches a single account, coach or client.

You give accurate information and keep your login details to yourself. Whatever is done from your account is your responsibility. In your settings, “My devices” shows each connected device and lets you sign them all out at once if you have any doubt.

4If you're a coach

You are independent. You are not an employee, representative or agent of REPS. Nothing in these terms creates a relationship of subordination between you and REPS.

You alone are responsible for:

  • your sessions, training plans, nutrition plans, advice and messages, and their quality and safety;
  • your prices, your offers and what you promise your clients;
  • the information on your page (qualifications, specialities, prices, photos), which must be accurate;
  • your obligations as a professional, in particular your legal status, your declarations, your VAT, your invoices and your insurance;
  • payment disputes raised by your clients, which you answer yourself from your Stripe account, as you accept when you turn on online payments. If your Stripe balance goes below zero, Stripe contacts you and recovers the amount, never REPS;
  • how you use your clients' data, which you may only use to coach them.

Qualifications and titles. In France, supervising a physical or sporting activity for payment is reserved for people who hold the qualification required by the Code du sport (French Sports Code, article L212-1), with the professional card that goes with it. Some titles are also protected (dietitian, physiotherapist, osteopath…). It is up to you to have what you need to practise. REPS checks neither your qualifications nor your titles.

Health. You make no diagnosis and you do not replace a doctor. If a client tells you about a health problem, it is up to you to adapt or refuse the session.

5If you're a client

You give an email address and a phone number that are really yours, you come to your sessions or cancel them in time, and you treat your coach with respect. Before you start, ask your doctor for advice if you have the slightest doubt about your health, and talk about it with your coach.

Repeated no-shows. Each coach sees your no-shows with them, and only they do. If they decide to, they can stop accepting your bookings with them, for a while or for good. Your upcoming sessions with them are then cancelled, and refunded in full if you paid for them online. Your current coaching or pack stops. What you paid for that coaching or pack is settled directly with your coach, REPS refunds nothing in their place. Nothing changes with other coaches, and REPS plays no part in this choice.

Any abusive use (mass bookings, fake identities, harassment) may lead to your access being blocked without notice.

6Sessions, cancellations and rescheduling

  • You book a slot offered by the coach. It is yours as soon as the booking is confirmed.
  • You can cancel from the link received by email or from your client area.
  • Only the coach moves a session. If you want a different time, cancel and book another slot, or ask your coach.
  • Only sessions paid online follow automatic cancellation rules. A cancellation or a no-show less than 24 hours before then has a cost, and whoever cancels pays the payment fees. The exact rules are in the Terms of Sale.

7Coaching

With the Pro+ plan, a coach can offer coaching to their clients, with a training plan, workouts done in the app, nutrition, check-ins, measurements, photos and messages. Coaching opens with a package chosen and paid for by the client.

  • A new package with the same coach starts when the current one ends. Never two at the same time.
  • A session pack and coaching can run side by side.
  • If you have two coaches, each one only sees what concerns them.
  • When a package ends, you keep read access to your measurements, photos and statistics, with a summary of each past coaching period.
  • If your coach downgrades their subscription, your current package runs to the end. They simply cannot sell anything new that requires the higher plan.

8The role of REPS

REPS provides the tool and makes sure it works. REPS is not involved in the services provided, controls neither their content nor their quality, and is not a party to the contract between the coach and their client. REPS therefore guarantees neither that a session or coaching will take place, nor that it will be successful.

REPS is not liable for:

  • a session or coaching that is not delivered, cancelled, late or poorly delivered;
  • advice, training plans and nutrition plans given by a coach, or their consequences;
  • an injury or damage that occurs during or after a session;
  • the behaviour of a coach or a client, or what they publish;
  • disagreements between a coach and their client.

REPS does its best to keep the service available and secure, but cannot promise that it will never have an outage or maintenance. Where a fault by REPS causes you damage, its liability is limited to that direct damage.

Nothing in these terms takes away a right the law gives you, in particular if you are a consumer. A clause that the law prohibits is simply set aside, and the rest continues to apply.

9A disagreement between a coach and their client

It is settled between the two of them. REPS does not arbitrate, does not decide and does not refund in the coach's place. A refund or a gesture the coach makes themselves only concerns them and their client, REPS does not take it into account. Where useful, REPS may, without being obliged to, pass on to both parties the information it holds about the booking or the payment.

The client keeps all their remedies against their coach, including disputing a payment with their bank and the consumer mediation that every professional must offer their clients.

10Pages, directory and reviews

The coach remains the owner of their texts and photos. They authorise REPS to host and display them, solely to run the service. Content that is illegal, misleading, violent, discriminatory or pornographic, or that impersonates someone, is prohibited.

Directory. Only the coaches who choose to are listed in it. They are ranked by number of verified reviews, then alphabetically. Nobody pays to be ranked higher.

Reviews. Only a client who has had a session can leave a review, with the link received after it. REPS does not edit reviews. It removes a review that is unlawful or rightly reported, within 24 hours.

11Zero tolerance, reporting, blocking and closing

Zero tolerance. REPS tolerates no abusive content and no abusive behaviour towards a coach, a client or the team: harassment, threats, hateful or discriminatory remarks, sexual, violent or misleading content, scams, soliciting, impersonation. This applies to coach pages, their photos and texts, reviews, messages, photos, videos and files exchanged. You accept these rules by ticking the box before you sign in or create your account.

Report. On a coach's page, on every review and on every message (long press in the app), a “Report” button alerts the REPS team, even without an account from a public page. The person reported is not told. The team handles every report within 24 hours: it removes the content in question (message deleted, review or page hidden) and suspends its author's account when they do not comply with these terms.

Block. A client can block a coach, from their page or their conversation. A coach can block a client from their own space, from the client's profile or their conversation (the money rules for this block are in the Terms of Sale). While the block lasts, neither of them sees the conversation any more or receives messages or notifications from the other, and the blocked coach disappears from the client's lists. The REPS team is told about every block. You can unblock at any time in your settings, under “Blocked users”.

This control covers content and compliance with the rules, never the quality of sessions. REPS has no general obligation to monitor what is published.

Coach. You can delete your account from your settings. It is deactivated right away, your page disappears and nobody can book or write to you anymore. Your subscription stops at once, with no refund for the current period. Your upcoming sessions are cancelled and refunded in full to your clients, from your Stripe account. Their coaching packages and packs stop, and REPS refunds nothing pro rata. If you owe a client part of it back, that is between the two of you. Your account is permanently erased 30 days later. Until then, you can ask us to restore it. The details are in the Terms of Sale.

Client. You can delete your account from your area, by confirming that it's really you (password, Face ID in the app, or a code received by email). Your upcoming sessions are cancelled as if you cancelled them yourself (more than 24 h before, refunded minus payment fees; less than 24 h before, your coach keeps 30%, €30 at most). Your account is deactivated right away and permanently erased 30 days later. Until then, you can ask us to restore it. What is deleted or kept is explained in the privacy policy.

12The mobile apps

If you install REPS from the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement also applies. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, REPS is. A subscription bought in the app is managed and cancelled in your Apple account settings.

13Personal data

What REPS does with your data is explained in the privacy policy.

14When these terms change

If REPS changes the substance of these terms, the new version is shown to you the next time you sign in, with a summary of what changes. You accept it to keep using your account. Your acceptance is dated and kept.

15Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute with REPS, we first look for an amicable solution. Failing that, the French courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you can also bring the matter before the court where you live.
